A year ago today I was in full-on intense labor.
By this time on July 12th, we were headed back to the hospital (for the 2nd time!), convinced birth would happen within the next hour or so.
Baby T still wouldn't arrive for a few more days (yes, DAYS), but I’m feeling ALL the feels right now reliving this as the beginning of the transition into birth.
I simultaneously have so much to share about my experience with motherhood in this past year AND am still processing it all in my body/mind/life/schedule/psyche/EVERYTHING.
What I will share are some loves notes I've been sending to myself this week:
(Hopefully helpful for anyone going through any sort of transition who might need to read it right now)...
〰️it’s okay to not have it all figured out
〰️it’s okay for it to take longer than you thought it would
〰️it’s okay to pause and/or change
〰️it’s okay to LOVE where you are AND also ask “what else?/what next?”
I posted this on Instagram and a few of you had brilliant love notes for yourselves that I'll add to our list:
〰️seek out the joy in the journey
〰️you are doing enough
What would you add to a ‘love notes to yourself’ list right now?
Post yours in the comments and I’ll add them to our list!
With love and body kindness,
